Future Farmers of America (FFA) Poster Contest

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office would like to announce the winners of the recent Future Farmers of America (FFA) Poster Contest that was held for FFA Chapters at all Shelby County Schools. This contest was sponsored by the Sheriff's Office as part of our ongoing efforts to keep our children drug free for life.

The contest was for each FFA chapter to design a poster that displays the importance of remaining drug and alcohol free while in school and maintaining a drug free life after school. These posters will now be printed and distributed by the individual FFA Chapters to display in their respective schools and local businesses in their communities.

Each school that submitted a poster will be awarded $200.00 payable to their local FFA Chapter. The first and second place winners will receive an additional $100.00 and $50.00 respectively.

FFA chapters submitting posters and being given $200.00 were Anna, Botkins, Fairlawn, Houston, Jackson Center and Sidney.

Anna FFA will receive an additional $100.00 for winning first place and Fairlawn will receive an additional $50.00 for winning second place.

Sheriff Lenhart stated that the posters submitted were all excellent and depicts our hope for a drug and alcohol free prom season for our schools. Sheriff Lenhart also said that he appreciates the participation from the schools and FAA Chapters.
